Pros and Cons of Laminate Flooring

Texas Flooring Gallery

We all want one thing for certain when choosing our flooring: beauty!

Today, we want to dive into some pro’s and cons (or, as we’d like to say – just some things to consider!) of laminate flooring.

For starters, what a great choice!

Let’s begin with the PROS:

Laminate is an easy install and a great way to quickly upgrade your home’s aesthetic.

Since laminate is made from pressed wood, it is more durable and resists scratches, moisture and wear and tear. The appearance is pretty much going to maintain and stay the same over time.

Laminate flooring is also easier to clean.

Another pro? COST. Whew, it’s going to be much less than real hardwoods. So if budgeting is something at the top of your priority list, laminate may be the way to go, for now.

Now, may we introduce you to a few cons?

Even though laminate is more durable, it is not as visually appealing as hardwoods. No surprise, right? Lower qualities of laminate may have artificial-looking wood grain textures, but we’ll help with that. One plus, if you need, you can repair a piece of the flooring by simply buying a replacement piece.

At the end of the day, your family will measure priorities of importance and we’ll be right here to guide you every step of the way. We can’t wait to help you bring your home dreams to life here at Texas Flooring Gallery!
